Good question Gary Iv'e felt both for many years and I think it can be also seen as a fighting sprit. Years of fighting an entity though can be very toxic after a while. Your approach seems very clever in that you have found a way to veiw it, and laugh at it. Your always at your funniest when your being serious though. I can see the funny side of things when I'm not overcome by the sadness and tragic side of things

How long is hate good for you?
by Snoozy inin reading richie's post it got me to wondering..how long is hate healthy?.
i always heard you should hate what someone does to you rather than hate the person.in all my watching and learning years i have reconciled myself to the fact that if you continue to have hate in your heart for someone you were only hurting yourself.
usually i have found when someone carries a hate for someone for many years..that person is still controlling you..you won't ever truly be happy.. also in my many years on this planet.... so i thought " i wonder how others feel"?.

"young ones are leaving" elder admits to a group of us
by ?me? injust the other day i was working at a hall and an elder commented twice that young people are leaving the org in a large amount.
i thought nothing of it the first time, but he kept up the topic later in the day.huh, i wonder why?
maybe the meetings that have more to do with organizational laws than the bible?

I've always fantasized about stealing mine. You got to hand it to that younger generation. They are going places no one has been before! I'm sure if it happens too much though they will find ways to make them inacessable. I wonder if some of the halls today contain alarm systems that connect to the cop shop or po's home. There's ways around that too though. It really makes you proud of the younger generation. It gives me a glow in my heart and a bounce in my step. They will have to become more and more like a police state to maintain control. Wait a minute they always were, since the bully years of Rutherford.

The message I get from it is , Were not liked in the neighbourhood and people are wise to us, but look, here's a young impressionable mind we can brainwash! It's all worth it and maybe she can turn on her family one day too. I thought the whole thing had the typical witness muzak and the presentation was juvenile. It looks like the governing body are finding some new ways to spend all that stagnent cash.

Will Lack of Leadership Sink the JW Ship?
by Seeker4 ini see serious problems with the leadership of the witnesses on two important levels: locally, in smaller bodies of elders with marginally qualified men carrying heavier workloads, and internationally in a lackluster and unimaginative governing body.
there are no nathan knorrs, or fred or ray franz's in this pathetic group!
first, the local elders: .

The wit messes have structured there system uniquely differently then other corporations and are not subject to the same things that effect different companies. They have very little accountability and are run by a team of lawyers. Further they remain unchanged in their ways because they have never had competition to deal with. It's a totally different animal. They have restrucured there leadership at the top to protect there interests so that there's no one you can really choke.

Its funny that cover up of sexual abuse doesn't even make the state curious when allegation have come from someone inside the inner workings. If the allegations were true or not, is important in a decision for or against the Andersons. It would prove that they had grounds for saying what they did and that there removal was not only malicious but also a move to further silence and cover up scandal. It makes you wonder if the org. who is swimming in money, in there little lawyers club, didn't shoot a pile of cash in the direction of the judge. Who would ever know? They can always feed off that cash cow if it remains strong. They sure can't get as much cash off the Andersons . Never trust a lawyer or a judge. They probably all know each other too.

Lol!! You Know Gary all kidding aside. I guess he can't bear to see me any other way. I took your advice though on appreciation and respect and have been using it. It actually works! You wouldn't think so, but it does. I think sometimes he likes me more than my brothers. Isn't that irony. I know about the last will and testament but I think that would only work if I had money. I guess it doesn't matter in the end, cause I won't be around anyways, but it makes me feel that my life is not being respected as I would like it to be and I will be misrepresented and am not taken seriously by the people that are supposed to matter. It's those that are left alive that will tell the tale. The only other option is to disappear into oblivion and let the state take care of it. The disadvantage of that is I will just be a statitic with a toe tag . It will also cause upheaval again. Some things in life no matter what you do, you can not escape the gravitational pull of your destiny.

What message would you like to say to anyone studying with the JW's?
by JH ini'd say, beware, once you'll be baptized they won't treat you the same way.
they will expect a lot from you, and you'll never be free again to say what you think about the religon or even think for yourself.
they will control your life completely.

I would tell them that, you will learn far more accurately from the internet anything you need to know is there, including material the witnesses don't even carry.

It most certainly did. I was betrayed by the organization that I grew up in. Betrayed by my family, and then ended up on the wrong side of the tracks in my naivity of the world. Betrayed again. It has taken me a very long time to have any degrees of trust and realize that there are good people in the world. It robbed me of my life. I'm tired from all the crap but I'm still working on it. This forum is restoring my faith in humanity. Interesting that it's the ones who were declared unworthy by the JWS that are having this effect.
